About MouseTester
Free mouse and trackpad tests that run entirely in your browser.
What MouseTester is
MouseTester is a free collection of tools for checking how a mouse or trackpad really behaves: click speed, double-click faults, polling rate, scroll wheel, sensor tracking, DPI and sensitivity conversion. It is for gamers, designers, office users and anyone wondering whether a mouse is worn out or just misconfigured.
What you'll find here
- Mouse tools: CPS, double-click and button tests, polling rate, and wireless-versus-wired checks.
- Sensor and tracking: jitter, acceleration, lift-off and tracking tests.
- Clicks and scroll: scroll wheel, scroll direction and click-fault checks.
- Trackpad: gesture and trackpad tests plus settings guides.
- Calculators: DPI, eDPI and cross-game sensitivity conversion.

How the tools work
Each test listens to the mouse and pointer events your browser already provides and does the maths on your device. Results depend on your browser, operating system and display, so treat them as practical measurements rather than lab-grade readings. Each tool page explains what it measures and where its limits are.
Who runs MouseTester
The site is written, built and checked by Unnikrishnan P, an independent developer and designer based in India with a background in banking and finance (B.Com, Banking and Finance, Christ University, Bengaluru; Diploma in Banking and Finance, IIBF; Certificate in Securities Markets, NISM). His skills include front-end development, design, Microsoft Excel and customer service, which is why the tools aim to be clear and quick to use.

Your activity stays on your device
There are no accounts or sign-up forms, and nothing you click, move or scroll is sent to us or stored. See the privacy policy for details, including how advertising works.
How the site is funded
The tools are free. The site is supported by advertising, which is kept separate from the tests and never changes their results.
