PSA Mouse Sensitivity Calculator

This PSA mouse sensitivity calculator runs the Perfect Sensitivity Approximation method. Enter your current sensitivity and start. Each round gives you a lower and a higher value; play a few minutes at each and pick the one that felt better. The range narrows every round.

Round 0 / 7

    Run the PSA method honestly

    1. 1. Play, do not guess

Spend five minutes in a deathmatch at each value before choosing. Instinct on the menu screen is not data.

    2. 2. Pick the one you aimed better with

Not the one that felt familiar. Familiar is usually just your old setting.

    3. 3. Lock it in for a week

After round seven, set the result and leave it. Re-run the session only after a week of play.

    Why the PSA method works

    Binary search on feel

Each round halves the uncertainty. Seven rounds move from a factor of two to under two percent.

    No bias from numbers

You compare two values that are both different from your current one, so the old setting cannot anchor you.

    Full history

Every comparison and choice is listed so you can see how the value converged.

    Works for any game

The method is unit-free; enter whatever sensitivity scale your game uses.

    PSA method terms

    PSA
Perfect Sensitivity Approximation, a comparative A/B method for finding a sensitivity that fits your aim.
    Spread factor
How far the two options sit from the centre. It starts at 2× and shrinks by its square root each round.
    Convergence
The point where the low and high options are so close you cannot tell them apart. That is your answer.
    Anchor bias
The tendency to prefer the setting you already use. PSA removes it by never offering your current value.

    PSA method questions

    Why seven rounds?

After seven halvings the two options differ by about 1.5 percent, below what most people can perceive.

Can I run it for ADS sensitivity?

Yes. Enter your ADS value and judge each round while aiming down sights.

Both options felt bad. What now?

Pick the less bad one. The method still converges; the next pair will be closer to a comfortable zone.

The result is very different from my old setting. Is that normal?

It happens. Give it a full week before judging; muscle memory takes time to rebuild.

    Get a better PSA result

    Result keeps drifting between sessions

You are choosing too fast. Play longer at each value and only run the session when rested.

Result is out of your game's allowed range

Change DPI instead and re-run with a sensitivity inside the allowed range.

    Session reset by accident

The history card keeps rounds in view; note the last chosen value and start from it.
