Mouse Accuracy Test

This mouse accuracy test records how far from the centre you land. Click to start. A target appears, you click it, another appears. The arena records whether you hit and how long each target took.

Run the aim test like a training drill

  1. 1. Warm up once

The first run is for learning the target size. Reset and run again for your real score.

  2. 2. Favour precision over speed

Deviation is measured in pixels from the centre. A slow, centred hit beats a fast edge hit.

  3. 3. Track three numbers

Accuracy percent, average deviation and average time. Improve one without letting the others slip.

What the precision test measures

Deviation in pixels

Every hit records how far from the centre you landed, not just whether you hit.

Time per target

The gap between a target appearing and your click shows how fast you acquire it.

Hit and miss feedback

Hits burst mint, misses ripple coral, so you learn without looking at the numbers.

Randomised positions

Targets never follow a pattern, so the score reflects control rather than memory.

Aim training terms

Micro-adjustment
Small corrections after a flick to land exactly on the target. Low deviation means good micro-adjustments.
Overshoot
Moving past the target before correcting. Usually a sign the sensitivity is too high.
Target acquisition
The time to move from one target to the next. Lower is better as long as accuracy holds.
Click deviation
Distance in pixels between the click point and the target centre, averaged over all hits.

Aim test questions

What is a good accuracy score?

90 percent or more with average deviation under 8 pixels is strong. Below 70 percent suggests lowering sensitivity.

Why do I keep missing by a little?

Overshoot. Lower your DPI or in-game sensitivity one step and test again.

Does the target size change?

No. It is fixed so scores are comparable across sessions and devices.

Can I use this to pick a sensitivity?

Yes. Run it at two settings; the one with lower deviation and similar time is the better fit. The PSA calculator formalises this.

Improve a poor aim score

Many misses on far targets

Sensitivity is too low for the distance. Raise DPI slightly or use larger arm movements.

Misses on near targets

Sensitivity is too high. Lower it and focus on finger and wrist control.

Cursor jumps or stutters

Run the polling rate and smoothness tests; a sensor or surface problem is hurting you, not your aim.
